PAPERMAKING WORKSHOPS             UPCOMING CLASSES         PAPERMAKING OUT OF RECYCLED MATERIALS - February 1st, 2012, 6 - 9 pm   Wednesday, February 1st, 2012, 6 pm - 9 pm Spend an evening learning how to make sheets of specialty Valentine paper out of things you can find in your own home. Take home what you make. This workshop is offered through Communiversity Registration online at http://www.umkc.edu/commu/                   Gathering the pulp on the deckle and frame.   Laying the leaf (sheet) on a wet felt pad   Putting a new felt on top, ready for another leaf.         First pressing of the stack of leafs to remove water.   Preparing more decorative materials to ad to the paper pulp.         Taking the pressed paper and laying out to dry           Using a pottery slab roller to press out the remaining water. Kathy and some of her finished papers.
